McKenzie Chokeberry is attractive to bees and butterflies and is good for use in windbreaks and in erosion control.  The berries of McKenzie Chokeberry are juicy, but begin to shrivel after ripening. Juice and seeds are a deep purple in color. The berries generally persist and are not eaten by most bird species.
