INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Proposals for the construction of "MOPAC East Trail 148th to 162nd Street and Salt Creek Levee Trail O Street to Haymarket Park Railroad Tracks Resurfacing”, for the Lower Platte South NRD, Lincoln, Nebraska," will be received by the Lower Platte South NRD, at 3125 Portia Street, PO Box 83581, Lincoln, Nebraska, until 1:00 p.m. on the 4th day of December 2024, and thereafter will be read aloud.

The work consists of the following:

  • MOPAC East Trail 148th to 162nd Street Resurfacing- Placement of crushed limestone screenings atop the existing crushed limestone trail from 148th and 162nd Street. Other work on the project is to remove and reinstall bollards.
  • Salt Creek Levee Trail O Street to Haymarket Park Railroad Tracks Resurfacing- Placement of crushed rock and crushed limestone screenings atop the existing crushed rock trail from O Street to Haymarket Park at Railroad tracks.

Proposals will be taken for said construction work listed above by linear foot prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project.

All Proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the ENGINEER and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the amount bid. Bid Security to be made payable to the Treasurer of the Lower Platte South NRD as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into a contract and furnish a bond in accordance herewith.

Plans, Specifications and Bid Documents may be obtained from the Lower Platte South NRD website at www.lpsnrd.org or at the office of the Lower Platte South NRD, Lincoln, Nebraska, and will be issued by the Lower Platte South NRD, 3125 Portia Street, P.O. Box 83581, Lincoln, NE 68501-3581, there is no charge for the Plans and Specifications.

The Lower Platte South NRD, reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Lower Platte South NRD, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
