A saline wetland results when artesian salt water flows to the surface over a long period of time and changes the characteristics of the soil. Saline wetlands are among the rarest land types on earth and support several equally-rare species of flora and fauna. Modern development has dwindled the number of saline wetland acres, however, LPSNRD has had success in restoring several saline wetlands, which are represented below.
