Upper Salt 3-2 Flood Control Structure Replacement Project

Upper Salt 3-2 Flood Control Structure Replacement Project

June 6, 2024

The Lower Platte South NRD operates and maintains over 190 flood control structures. In May of 2024, the Upper Salt 3-2 flood control structure recently had a spillway replacement project due to a deteriorating 48-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe outlet structure. The contractor replaced the failing structure with a 54-inch diameter high density polyethylene thermoplastic pipe. The project ensures that the structure will continue to operate as intended and provide continued flood control for the Upper Salt Creek Watershed.
