Rain-Ready Landscapes Program Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (NRD)

The Rain-Ready Landscapes cost-share program is tailored for landowners and communities within the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District. It offers 50% cost-share assistance for approved landscaping projects, with a maximum NRD cost-share of $2,000.00 per individual project. Please note that the program does not extend cost-share benefits to landowners within the city limits of Lincoln.

Eligible projects encompass rain gardens, bioswales, and other green stormwater control practices. These projects play a crucial role in filtering pollutants from rainwater before they reach storm sewers, ditches, and streams. Moreover, they contribute by minimizing soil erosion and preserving the cleanliness of local waterways. Upon approval of a project by the Board of Directors of the LPSNRD and the signing of a program agreement, the landowner will have one year to complete the landscape project. Upon completion and inspection of the project, the landowner can submit copies of invoices and proof of payment for project expenses to the LPSNRD. Eligible expenses will be reimbursed at a 50% cost-share rate.
