Lower Platte South Natural Resources District
SALT CREEK REHABILITATION AND REPAIR PROJECT
The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District invites contractors to submit bids for:
SALT CREEK CULVERT REHABILITATION PROJECT LANCASTER COUNTY, NEBRASKA
The project consists of rehabilitating one (1) CMP storm sewer culvert by sliplining with high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) and grouting the annular space between the host pipe and the liner pipe. Removal and replacement of flared end sections, flap gates, and timber pile outlet structures along with riprap outlet protection is also included. The project also includes rehabilitating twin 72” RCP storm sewers by performing joint, concrete spalling repair, and concrete cracking, and construction of a levee access ramp using compacted soils, aggregate surfacing, and geotextile reinforcement. The project sites are in Lancaster County, Lincoln, Nebraska. Sealed bids will be received by the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District on or before 10 am, Wednesday, 31 July 2024, at the District’s office located at 3125 Portia Street, Lincoln, NE, 68521. Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond in an amount of not less than five percent of the amount bid. The check or bond shall be made payable to the Treasurer, Lower Platte South Natural Resources District as security that the bidder to whom the award is made will enter into a contract to complete the rehab project and furnish the required bonds. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the District’s office at that time and place. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening bids without consent of the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District for a period of 45 days after the scheduled time for closing bids. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Plans, Specifications and Bid Documents may be inspected at the office of the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District, 3125 Portia Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68521 and Houston Engineering, 12702 Westport Parkway, Suite 300, Omaha, NE 68138. Electronic copies can be emailed at no charge by requesting them via email to Lindy Rogers at Houston Engineering at Lrogers@houstonengineering.com. All bidders are encouraged to request plans electronically from Lindy Rogers to ensure that all addendums, etc. are received prior to the bid date. This invitation will be published in the Lincoln Journal Star on July 15th, July 22nd, and July 29th, 2024.
