The NRD has established the Community Assistance Program to assist communities (towns, villages, neighborhood associations, homeowner associations, etc.) with the planning, design, and construction of LPSNRD eligible projects. Typical projects include stream stability, streambank stabilization, flood control, stormwater quality, and more. We consider project requests on a case-by-case basis with assistance generally limited to 50% of the cost. The community often serves as a sponsor of the project by contracting for engineering, obtaining land rights and permits, and agreeing to operate and maintain the project.
